There is a difference between atomic numbers of these metal objects and body tissues. This creates artifacts in images and creates large difference in CT numbers and errors in the calculations. This study was performed to evaluate the effect of correcting metal artifact on images and compare the absorbed dose estimated by ISOgray treatment planning system (TPS) and measurement. Methods: Homogeneous cylindrical phantom was prepared from Perspex material to simulate human body conditions. Cavities were created for Farmer dosimeter and titanium metal rods acting as prosthesis. CT images of phantom were acquired in the presence and absence of metal rods. The correction of metal artifact was performed using Metal Detection Technique (MDT) and CT control softwares. Dose calculation was done at the phantom center for 100 MU at the photon mode with the energies of 6, 10 and 15 MV at ISOgray TPS. The results were compared with Farmer dosimeter. Results: The results show that there is no significant difference in absorbed dose calculated for different images corrected using two softwares by ISOgray TPS. The lowest and highest errors are 0.1% and 1.09% related to the images corrected by MDT software with the slice thickness of 3.0 cm and the distance of 2.5 cm and photon energies of 6 and 15 MV, respectively. Conclusion: The correction of artifacts in CT images does not have a significant effect on the dose calculated by ISOgray.}, keywords = {Radiotherapy Dosage,Radiotherapy planning,Artifact}, title_fa = {تأثیر کاهش اثر ساختگی فلز در برآورد توزیع دوز توسط نرم افزار طراحی درمان ISOgray}, abstract_fa = {هدف: در بدن برخی از بیماران مبتلا به سرطان و تحت درمان با اشعه، اجسام خارجی فلزی وجود دارند که عدد اتمی آن ها تفاوت زیادی با عدد اتمی ‌بافت های بدن دارد. این امر موجب ایجاد آرتیفکت در تصاویر، اختلاف زیاد در اعداد سی تی و خطا در محاسبات می شود. این مطالعه جهت بررسی تاثیر اصلاح آرتیفکت فلز بر تصاویر و مقایسه میزان دوز محاسباتی توسط سیستم طراحی درمان ISOgray با دوز اندازه گیری شده انجام گرفته است. روش بررسی: برای ایجاد شرایط بروز آرتیفکت فلز در تصاویر CT، فانتومی ‌استوانه ای شکل و همگن از جنس پرسپکس تهیه شد. درون آن حفراتی برای قرار دهی دوزیمتر فارمر و میله‌ های فلزی از جنس تیتانیوم ایجاد شد. به ترتیب، فانتوم پرسپکس و میله های فلزی نقشی مشابه بدن انسان و پروتز فلزی ایفا می کنند. تصاویر CT از فانتوم در شرایط حضور و عدم حضور فلز تهیه شد. از دو نرم افزار MDT و کنترل سیستم CT برای اصلاح آرتیفکت فلز  استفاده شد. محاسبه دوز در مرکز فانتوم به ازای MU100 در انرژی های فوتونی 6 ، 10 و 15  MV توسط سیستم طراحی درمان ISOgray دستگاه شتاب دهنده صورت گرفت. نتایج با اندازه گیری های انجام شده توسط دوزیمتر فارمر مقایسه گردید. یافته ‌ها: نتایج نشان می دهد که اختلاف قابل ملاحظه ای در برآورد دوز میان تصاویر اصلاح شده با دو نرم افزار مذکور در انجام طراحی درمان با ISOgray وجود ندارد. کمترین درصد خطا 0/1% است که مربوط به تصویر اصلاحی توسط نرم افزار MDT، با ضخامت برش  mm3، فلز در فاصله  cm2/5 و انرژی  MV6 می باشد. همچنین بیشترین درصد خطا 1/09% است که مربوط به تصویر اصلاح شده توسط نرمافزار MDT، با ضخامت  mm3، فلز در فاصله  cm2/5 و انرژی  MV15  می باشد. نتیجه‌ گیری: اصلاح آرتیفکت تصاویر تاثیر زیادی در میزان دوز برآورد شده توسط سیستم طراحی درمان ISOgray ندارد.}, keywords_fa = {دوز پرتو درمانی,طراحی پرتو درمانی,آرتیفکت}, url = {https://jpsr.mums.ac.ir/article_12062.html}, eprint = {https://jpsr.mums.ac.ir/article_12062_afa53c1c18a82dce6e08bb93b373a3c9.pdf} }
