Methods: 120 eyes of 60 patients with a diagnosis of primary open angle glaucoma and 40 (80 eyes) normal subjects whose visual acuity was 20/40 or better and 30 -60 years old were included in this study. Visual field analyzed according to the MD and PSD criteria of Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer and, contrast sensitivity was measured using the Freiburg Acuity and Contrast Test according to the Michelson and Weber criteria. Visual fields of the patients were measured using the 24–2 full threshold program on the Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer. Data analysis was performed for descriptive and analytical statistical methods. Results: According to the Michelson and Weber criteria, contrast sensitivity was reduced in glaucomatic patients. A significant correlation (r = -0.289, P < 0.001) was found between the visual field mean deviations and contrast sensitivity scores (Michelson) and the correlation (r = -0.302,P<0.001) was found between visual field mean deviations and contrast sensitivity scores (Weber). The correlation (r‌=‌0.140, p=0.048) was less between the visual field pattern standard deviation and  Michelson contrast, as was the correlation between the visual field pattern standard deviation and  Weber contrast (r = 0.158 , p = 0.027). Conclusion: For glaucomatous eyes with visual acuity of 20/40 or better, a decrease in the contrast sensitivity correlates with increased visual field loss. We speculate that this decrease in contrast sensitivity in glaucoma patients may account for their complaints of poor vision despite normal or near normal visual acuity. This correlation may serve to develop improved testing to monitor the status of our glaucoma patients prospectively.}, keywords = {Contrast Sensitivity,glaucoma,Visual fields}, title_fa = {بررسی حساسیت کانترست و میدان بینایی در بیماران گلوکوم زاویه باز}, abstract_fa = {هدف: بررسی ارتباط بین حساسیت کانترست و میدان بینایی در گلوکوم زاویه باز روش بررسی: در این مطالعه به بررسی60 فرد (120 چشم) دارای گلوکوم زاویه باز(Primery Open Angle (Glaucoma; POAG و40 فرد (80 چشم) نرمال در محدوده سنی60-30 سال که حدت بینایی20/40 یا بهتر داشتند پرداخته شد. نقایص میدان بینایی افراد با استفاده از شاخص‌های(Mean Deviation; MD) و(Pattern Standard Deviation; PSD) پریمتری اتومات Humphrey و حساسیت کانترست (Contrast) با استفاده از شاخص‌های MichelsonوWeber) آزمایش کانترست فر ایبرگ اندازه‌گیری شد. میدان بینایی با استفاده از برنامه تمام آستانه 24-2 با استفاده از دستگاه پریمتری Humphrey انجام شد. پس از جمع‌آوری داده‌ها، اطلاعات بدست آمده از طریق روش‌های آماری توصیفی و تحلیلی آنالیز گردید. یافته‌ها: در ارزیابی مقادیر بدست آمده از آزمایش حساسیت کانترست، در افراد گلوکومی میزان کمی معیارMichelson و Weber در مقایسه با افراد نرمال بیشتر بود که بیانگر کاهش میزان حساسیت کانترست در افراد گلوکومی است. ارتباط معنا‌داری (0/001=p، 0/289=r) بین متغیر MD (نمایانگر صدمات منتشر) با  Michelsonو نیز MD با (0/001=p، 0/302- =r) Weber برقرار است، اما این ارتباط در مورد متغیر PSD که در بیماران گلوکومی نمایانگر صدمات موضعی است صدق نمی‌کند. نتیجه‌گیری: در بیماران گلوکوم زاویه باز با حدت بینایی20/40 یا بهتر، بین کاهش حساسیت کانترست با افزایش نقایص میدان بینایی ارتباط قابل ملاحظه‌ای وجود دارد. به نظر می‌رسد همین کاهش حساسیت کانترست می‌تواند علت شکایت بیماران گلوکومی از بینایی ضعیف علیرغم حدت بینایی نرمال آنان باشد. ارتباط این یافته مبین آن است که می توان آزمونهای موثرتری برای تشخیص این بیماری گلوکوم انجام داد.}, keywords_fa = {حساسیت کانترست,گلوکوم,میدان بینایی}, url = {https://jpsr.mums.ac.ir/article_4389.html}, eprint = {https://jpsr.mums.ac.ir/article_4389_1ad84a2b02435668dffc3e88beda94a0.pdf} }
