By completing the Persian version of SVHIP and using Independent T-test and Pearson correlation coefficient, total score and score of each SVHIP index subset (functional, physical and emotional domain) were calculated.
Results:
There is a significant difference between the total score of singing voice handicap index and the scores of its subset in both healthy and voice disorder groups. (p≤0.05). There is also a strong correlation between each SVHIP subset with each other in each group of participants 0/6<r<0/8.
Conclusion:
Voice impairment in singers affects the quality of life related to their voice in all aspects of physical, functional and emotional.
